Memorial Day Weekend Racing Recap



Greetings! It was a banner day for the Masters men at the Memorial Day 4 Miler. MCRRC competitive team members secured 5 of the top 10 places. Mark Neff was the 1st MCRRC competitive race team member to cross the line in 23:15 which placed him 4th overall. He was followed 10 seconds later  by David Storper who nabbed 5th and finished in 23:25.

Other male results are as follows:
Andrew Howard- 6th overall-23:34
Thomas Offenbacher - 8th overall - 23:44
Paul Jacobson - 9th overall-24:01
Alex Booth - 10th overall - 24:02

A few miles away in Olney Miles Aitken had a successful showing at Jeremy's Run 10k. He finished 4th overall in 35:44.


On the women's side the open team members took 1st and 2nd place in the same time of 26:15 at the Memorial Day 4 miler. Nicole Deziel and Anna Savage were neck and neck throughout the race!

Yesterday Cindy Conant was enjoying time in Rehoboth and ran the Masser 5-miler in 31:56 placing 2nd overall.

Julie Sapper ran a solid 20:29 at the Save the Trail 5-k on Saturday. She was the female master winner.

Team member Kellie Redmond, Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach at Wootton High School, was not racing  but coaching, her team at the Maryland State Championship Meet over the holiday weekend.
